Call for Presentations
The 6th Annual BayesiaLab Conference in Downtown Chicago will provide a unique opportunity to learn about recent innovations in applied research with Probabilistic Graphical Models and Bayesian Networks. Furthermore, it will provide a forum for sharing best practices in working with the BayesiaLab software platform through courses, talks, and poster presentations.
The conference will cover best-practice applications of Bayesian network modeling in various disciplines, as well as methodological advances. In particular, we welcome Bayesian network applications in:
- Decision Science & Strategy
- Law & Forensics
- Market Research & Marketing Science
- Medical Research & Healthcare
- National Security & Defense
- Risk Management
- Transportation & Logistics
The cross-disciplinary nature of the conference has become a hallmark (see the 2015 BayesiaLab Conference Review), and we wish to emphasize this once again in this year's event by inviting a broad range of speakers from diverse fields of study.
The presentations on September 27–28, 2018, are the focal point of the conference. We invite you to present your work in the plenary sessions on the main conference days. It is our objective to showcase a broad spectrum of applications and research with Bayesian networks. We encourage you to present your work regardless of whether it was performed with BayesiaLab or on another platform.
We are looking for submissions of presentations, from both academia, government and industry, describing ongoing work with Bayesian networks and exciting new applications. We also welcome presentations that highlight capabilities and competencies of solution providers in this context, e.g. from consulting firms, market research agencies, etc.
On the main conference days, September 27–28, each presentation slot is 25 minutes in length, plus 5 minutes for Q&A.
- Presenter Information & Affiliation
