Analysis of the French Presidential Elections of April 2007

BayesiaLab has been used to analyse the results of the French Presidential Election over all the communes.

The analysed database contains, for each commune:

• the vote rate obtained by the 12 candidates during the first round (Bayrou, Besancenot, Bove, Buffet, Laguiller, Le Pen, Nihous, Royal, Sarkozy, Schivardi, de Villiers et Voynet)
• the rate of the Spoilt and Null votes during the first round
• the abstention rate during the first round
• the vote rate obtained by the 2 candidates during the second round (Royal, Sarkozy)
• the rate of the Spoilt and Null votes during the second round
• the abstention rate during the second round
• the vote rate obtained by the candidates of the first round of the Presidential Elections in 2002 (Bayrou, Besancenot, Boutin, Chevènement, Chirac, Gluckstein, Hue, Jospin, Laguiller, Lepage, Le Pen, Madelin, Mamère, Megret, Saint Josse, Taubira)
• the rate of the Spoilt and Null votes during the 2002 first round
• the abstention rate during the 2002 first round
