Mutual Information
The following graph shows a typical quadrant plot based on Mutual Information.
Binary Mutual Information
As a new feature, Binary Mutual Information allows performing this analysis with respect to a specific target state, i.e. the target state versus all the other states of the Target variable.
Normalization
Normalizing the Mean values allows comparing variables that do not share the same variation domain. For instance, one variable may range between 0 and 10,000, whereas another one may range between 0 and 0.5. By normalizing them, these variables can be compared on a common scale.
