Monitor Temporal Evolution

Monitor Temporal Evolution

Context

  • Monitor Temporal Evolution only applies to nodes that have a temporal relationship with another node.
  • In this context, "monitoring" refers to observing or tracking a node's states or values as they evolve over time.

Please see Arc Management: Creating a Temporal Arc to learn about temporal relationships

⚠️

"Temporal" is not to be confused with "temporary." Temporal refers to a relationship of nodes across different time steps. In this context, the antonym of temporal would be contemporaneous, which means that all relationships occur within the same time step.

Usage

  • Select a node or nodes.
  • Then, select Node Context Menu > Monitor Temporal Evolution.
  • The Temporal Evolution Monitoring Editor pops up in a window and allows you to specify how to monitor the selected node.
