Temporal Indices

Associating a dictionary of Temporal Indices lets you apply Temporal Index values to nodes from an external file rather than editing each value by hand.

A Temporal Index specifies a time order of nodes in a Bayesian network, which is taken into account during network learning. For instance, if Disease has a Temporal Index value lower than Symptom, it implies that Disease occurs before Symptom. As a result, any network learning algorithm would not consider Symptom as a parent node of Disease. Temporal Indices are defined on a continuous scale and can take on positive real values or 0.
