Normalize

Context & Purpose

Normalize generates normalized distributions for the Probability Tables or Conditional Probability Tables of the selected nodes.

Usage

In Modeling Mode, select one or more nodes, then choose Node Contextual Menu > Probabilities > Normalize. Normalize produces a distribution that sums to 100 so that it reflects the relative weight of the original values in the cells. For instance, if the original values in the cells were ${1,\ 2,\ 3}$, the new normalized distribution would be ${16.667,\ 33.333,\ 50.000}$.
