Dynamic Layout
Context
The Dynamic algorithm is particularly efficient with weakly connected networks. The algorithm has the following objectives:
- Position parent nodes above child nodes.
- Minimize the crossing of arcs.
In Validation Mode and while the Arc Analysis Mode is active, the Dynamic algorithm has an additional objective: it positions the nodes so that the arc lengths are inversely proportional to the strength of the arc. This means the shorter the arcs, the stronger the relationship between the nodes.
Usage
Select Menus > View > Layout > Dynamic Layout. The Dynamic layout features a slider in the Toolbar that allows you to adjust the repulsion between the nodes.
