Class Description Generator

Overview

The Class Description Generator is a Hellixia tool that automatically generates a textual description for each class in a Class Variable (a variable that groups nodes into categories, such as a cluster label). It is invoked from the Class Variable contextual menu.

The tool works by analyzing the nodes that belong to each class and producing a concise, human-readable summary of what that class represents. This is particularly useful after performing Clustering or Classification in Hellixia, where the resulting class labels are often opaque (e.g., “Class 0”, “Class 1”). The Class Description Generator replaces those generic labels with meaningful descriptions, making the semantic content of each cluster immediately interpretable.

The generated descriptions are stored in the Comments of the Class Variable’s states, which means they also feed into the Embedding Generator if you later need to build embeddings from the Class Variable. This makes the Class Description Generator part of the broader Node Documentation Enhancement workflow: better descriptions lead to more relevant embeddings and a more robust Semantic Network.

Workflow

Prepare the network, source material, selected nodes, selected arcs, or Knowledge Files required by the function.
Confirm that Hellixia provider settings and model access are configured.
Open Hellixia > Class Description Generator.
Review the available options and add General Context when the model needs domain-specific guidance.
Run the function and inspect the generated graph, comments, priors, embeddings, translations, or images.
