Using a Bayesian Network as an Expert System
The well-known "Visit Asia" example in this Quick Start Demo dates back to a seminal paper by Lauritzen and Spiegelhalter (1988). It describes how a Bayesian network can be used as an expert system for medical diagnosis. Visit Asia has been widely used in the literature to illustrate observational and causal inference in Bayesian networks. Our Quick Start Demo shows you how this classical example is implemented in BayesiaLab.
