Document Analysis

Document Analysis uses Knowledge Files as source material for structured semantic and causal workflows in BayesiaLab. A Knowledge File is a file added as detailed LLM context, complementing the General Context you provide for the task.

Use Document Analysis when the source of knowledge is a report, article, transcript, paper, case study, corpus, or other file rather than a short prompt.

FunctionBest forInputOutputNotes
Semantic Flowchart GeneratorSequence or process logic in textSelected text and/or Knowledge File contentGraph of sequential semantic relationshipsUse when order matters.
Causal Semantic Diagram GeneratorCausal claims or mechanisms in textSelected text and/or Knowledge File contentGraph of causal semantic relationshipsUse before probabilistic quantification.
Knowledge Graph GeneratorEntities and semantic associationsKnowledge FileEntity or relation graphAvailable in BayesiaLab 11.6 and later.
Causal Network GeneratorProbabilistic causal model from documentsKnowledge File contentCausal Bayesian Network or Risk-Centric Causal NetworkReview generated effects, CPTs, and root priors before use.
Semantic Network GeneratorSemantic proximity among document-derived conceptsKnowledge File and selected keywordsExtracted dimensions, embeddings, learned Semantic NetworkUseful for thematic mapping.
Doc-to-Node GeneratorMulti-document corporaSelected Knowledge FilesOne node per document, comments with file content, optional Semantic NetworkUseful for document-level maps.

Common Workflow

  1. Add the source file or files as Knowledge Files.
  2. Add General Context if the documents need domain framing or scope constraints.
  3. Select any required nodes, text, keywords, or Knowledge Files.
  4. Open the appropriate function under Hellixia > Document Analysis.
  5. Generate the artifact.
  6. Review the graph against the source material and edit it before downstream analysis.
