Associate Data Source

Context

  • This menu item opens a data file (typically CSV) or connects to a database to attach a new dataset to the currently open network in the Graph Window.
  • After you select the source, the Data Import Wizard launches to associate the new dataset with the existing network.
  • Text: Once the file is read and preprocessing is complete, a fully unconnected network is created in a new Graph Window, with one node per attribute. The Bayesian network learning algorithms become available.
  • Database: Once the database table is loaded and preprocessing is complete, a fully unconnected network is created in a new Graph Window, with one node per attribute. The Bayesian network learning algorithms become available.
  • Recent Databases: Keeps a list of recently opened datasets. The Data Import Wizard opens directly for the selected source. The size of this list can be modified under Main Menu > Window > Preferences > Menus.
