Dynamic Layout
Context
- The Dynamic algorithm is particularly efficient with weakly-connected networks.
- The algorithm has the following objectives:
- Position parent nodes above child nodes.
- Minimize the crossing of arcs.
- In Validation Mode and while the Arc Analysis Mode is active, the Dynamic algorithm has an additional objective:
- It positions the nodes so that the arc lengths are inversely proportional to the strength of the arc.
- This means the shorter the arcs, the stronger the relationship between the nodes.
Usage
Main Menu > View > Layout > Dynamic Layout
.- The Dynamic layout features a slider in the Toolbar that allows you to adjust the repulsion between the nodes.
