Edit Filtered States

Context

  • In this panel, you can specify a Filtered State or Filtered Value for a node.
  • Only one Filtered State/Value is allowed per node, whether continuous or discrete.
  • This state is used to represent values that logically cannot exist, for instance the variable PregnancyPregnancy for a male survey respondent. In this context, neither state of PregnancyPregnancy, i.e., {True, False}, would make sense. So, the Filtered State/Value represents an additional state, “not applicable.” Thus, the variable PregnancyPregnancy gets a third state: {True, False, n/a (or Filtered Value)}.
