Node Style
Context
- For over 20 years, BayesiaLab's Node Types have been represented by the following set of shapes:
- Random Node
- Function Node
- Constraint Node
- Utility Node
- Decision Node
- The disc-shaped Random Node is the most common node type, leading to the entire set being referred to as the original Disc style.
- The Disc-style symbols are universally recognized among BayesiaLab users and are still embedded in the new Node Styles.
- For details about the specific meanings of all symbols, refer to Node Types and States.
Node Style was called Node Appearance prior to the release of BayesiaLab 10.
Node Styles
With the expansion of Node Style options, there are now two categories of Node Styles:
Static Node Styles
A Static Node Style means the node content does not change when setting or modifying evidence:
Dynamic & Interactive Node Styles
- Dynamic: The node contents update dynamically with input via the Monitor Panel.
- Interactive: Evidence can be set directly via the node in the Graph Panel.
